Heading into what he calls his “redemption fight,” Brok Weaver has missed weight for UFC on ESPN 9.
The Dana White’s Contender Series alum is booked to face Roosevelt Roberts in a light weight bout Saturday night in Las Vegas, but came in at 157.5 pounds at the official weigh-ins Friday morning.
Roberts was within the limit at 156 pounds.
Per the UFC, the fight will go on as scheduled with Weaver forfeiting 20 percent of his purse to Roberts.
Weaver made his long-awaited UFC debut at February’s UFC Rio Rancho event and took an illegal knee late from Rodrigo Vargas late in the first round.
