UFC on ESPN 10 medical suspensions: Cynthia Calvillo and Marvin Vettori face six-month terms

Two headlining winners at UFC on ESPN 10 could be out for a half-year unless they get medically cleared beforehand.

Newly minted UFC flyweight Cynthia Calvillo, who outpointed Jessica Eye at this past Saturday’s event, needs an MRI for her right shoulder. If “positive” for an unknown injury, she faces a six-month suspension, per the Nevada Athletic Commission, which on Monday released a full list of suspensions stemming from the event.

Calvillo noted her need for an MRI after her win and said she’d like to make a quick turnaround if healthy enough to fight.
