Darren Till and Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson stand alone on the official poster for UFC Liverpool, which was released Tuesday.
The two welterweights will face off in the main event of the May 27 show, which is booked for the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England, which just so happens to be where Till originates from.
Till remained unbeaten in 17 pro fights with a first-round finish of Donald Cerrone last October. He gets his toughest test yet in Thompson, who has twice challenged for the UFC welterweight championship.
Also on the card, Neil Magny takes on Gunnar Nelson in a battle of top-ranked welterweights, England’s Arnold Allen looks to remain undefeated as a UFC featherweight when he takes on Mads Burnell, and exciting featherweights Makwan Amirkhani and Jason Knight will attempt to get back on the winning track.
