UFC Lincoln medical suspensions: Five fighters potentially out six months

UFC strawweight Cortney Casey headlined a list of five fighters to be issued potential six-month medical suspensions in the aftermath of UFC Lincoln, according to information released Wednesday to MMA Fighting by the Nebraska Athletic Commission.

Casey captured a split decision victory over Angela Hill on the main card of UFC Lincoln. As a result of damage sustained in the contest, Casey will be forced to seek doctor’s clearance on undisclosed potential injuries or sit out 180 days before returning to active competition, per Nebraska commission officials.

The four other fighters who received similar potential 180-day medical suspensions were Warlley Alves, Cory Sandhagen, Iuri Alcantara, and Luke Sanders.
