Jairzinho was coming off of the first loss of his MMA career, a 20-second knockout at the hands of future heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou. In dos Santos, he faced an opponent also in need of a win after being finished in his past two fights.
After a mostly uneventful opening round, Rozenstruik found his range late in the second and he proceeded to unleash a swarm of heavy punches on dos Santos.
