There were no issues at the UFC Fight Night: Swanson vs. Ortega official weigh-ins in Fresno, California. Headliners Cub Swanson and Brian Ortega both made the featherweight limit (with the one-pound allowance for non-title fights), as did co-headliners Jason Knight and Gabriel Benitez.
Of interest to some is the fact that the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) changed a preliminary card bout between Alex Perez and Carls John de Tomas from flyweight to bantamweight. De Tomas had missed weight by five pounds in his UFC debut, and the CSAC felt that there was too much weight for him to cut safely, hence the bump in weight class.
