According to his coach Eric Nicksick, Justin Jaynes was recently released from the UFC, on his birthday. Nicksick revealed that information to illustrate a point that Jaynes, along with his other student Kai Kamaka, were released from the UFC despite helping out the promotion by taking on short notice fights.
“For all you young fighters out there, keep this in mind,” wrote Nicksick. “Just because you’re doing “the company a favour,” doesn’t necessarily mean it comes full circle when it’s renegotation time.”
The most notable aspect of Jaynes tenure in the UFC was the revelation that he bet his entire purse on himself to win last time out.
