UFC fighter rankings: Benavidez out, Smith moves back up at light heavyweight

The fourth straight UFC Vegas event that went down last weekend may have been the least relevant of them all. Not many ranked fighters were on the card, and half the fights going to decision meant there wasn’t a lot to take away from it.

With that being said, headliner Anthony Smith’s big victory over Ryan Spann pushed him back up the rankings a bit at 205 pounds and got him back into title contention. And from the undercard, Raquel Pennington made her way back onto the 135-pound list.

The most changes came at flyweight, due to the retirement of multi-time title challenger Joseph Benavidez and his subsequent removal from the 125-pound list.
