Once the UFC finishes off their Fight Island cards and returns to UFC Apex for an August 1st event, things are up in the air. They do have an August 8th event scheduled, and it is easy to assume that it will go down in Apex as well, but the promotion hasn’t confirmed that as of yet. And while the supposed headliner has been in place for a while, the UFC hasn’t officially announced that either.
That main event is apparently going to be a big heavyweight bout between Derrick Lewis and Aleksei Oleinik. Lewis is coming off a decision victory over Ilir Latifi, and is looking to run his winning streak to three.
