Another withdrawal has hit Sunday’s Ultimate Fighting Championship event, as the promotion today altered a 205-pound preliminary matchup.
Russian light heavyweight Abdul-Kerim Edilov, who was to make his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night “Dillashaw,” has been forced to withdraw from the event for reasons not specified in UFC’s Monday press release.
Edilov’s opponent, Francimar Barroso, will instead take on another UFC newcomer, Elvis Mutapcic. The bout will be part of the UFC Fight Pass undercard broadcast from TD Garden in Boston.
Nova Uniao representative Barroso is 2-1 in his three UFC appearances, with all three bouts going the distance.
