Leon Edwards and Pawel Pawlak squared off in a welterweight contest at UFC Fight Night 72 inside The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, earlier today (Sat. July 18, 2015).
"Rocky" would earn the unanimous decision victory (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after controlling the action for the duration of the 15-minute bout in the clinch and with some well-timed striking.
After a few brief exchanges to start the opening round, Edwards would close in on Pawlak and push him up against the fence in the clinch. Pawlak struggled a bit to reverse position or get his back off the cage, but he was able to tie up Edwards.
