A big UFC Fight Night: Duffee vs. Mir co-main event between former Strikeforce lightweight champion Josh Thomson and rising contender Tony Ferguson was a match-up of old guard vs. new guard. It was expected to be an intriguing fight to see where both men stood in the division.
It was a very close first round to start off. Thomson hit a beautiful takedown but Ferguson rolled and got back to his feet before Thomson could get on top.
