UFC Fight Night 67 medical suspensions: Thiago Alves, Tom Breese potentially out six months

Thiago Alves could be out of action for six months following a devastating loss to Carlos Condit in Goiania, Brazil.

The welterweight veteran received a 180-day suspension from the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) after he suffered a TKO loss to Condit in the main event of UFC Fight Night 67 on Saturday night.

UFC medical director Dr. Marcio Tannure stopped the bout between the second and third rounds due to Alves’ injured nose. On Sunday morning, Dr. Tannure told MMAFighting.com that "Pitbull" will likely need surgery.

Tom Breese, who finished Luiz Dutra in the first fight of the night, is also out for 180 days pending clearance of left hand and wrist.
