A featherweight clash between promotional veteran Edson Barboza (24-11) and Sodiq Yusuff (13-3) headlined the Ultimate Fighting Championship's latest Fight Night event. Both fighters seemingly took their main event duties at extremely seriously, as is evidenced by the fact that their meeting received the “Fight of the Night” bonus.
Yusuff came out guns blazing in Round 1, looking to stifle Barboza's kicking game with forward pressure and managed to hurt the Brazilian several times throughout the round using his powerful punches. Despite the vicious onslaught, the Brazilian somehow managed to keep his bearings and make it back to the stool at the end of the first frame.
