Two promising Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight prospects took to the Octagon last night (Sat., Nov. 26, 2016) at UFC Fight Night 101 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia, as "Celtic Kid" Jake Matthews took on submission specialist Andrew Holbrook in the co-main event. Holbrook was looking to get back into the win column after a knockout loss back in July, while Matthews was aiming to rebound from a TKO defeat at the hands of Kevin Lee.

In the end, the judges' awarded Holbrook the razor-thin split decision victory aftee three hard-fought rounds from both combatants, getting him back in the win column after having his undefeated streak snapped in his previous outing, while Mathews suffers his second consecutive loss inside the Octagon.
