Said Nurmagomedov needed just 51 seconds to dispatch Mark Striegl in the first bout of the night at UFC Fight Island 6 in Abu Dhabi.
The Russian put Striegl down with a short counter left hand on the feet but it was the vicious ground and pound that followed that ultimately ended the fight.
A series of brutal punches rendered Striegl unconscious as the referee swooped into rescue him before Nurmagomedov could dish out any more damage.
“I feel great,” Nurmagomedov said after the win. “I didn’t have to get injured or anything, it was over pretty quick.
