UFC Cuts Hatsu Hioki, Ryan Jimmo And 12 Others

The unemployment office is gonna be busy today. The UFC has released 14 fighters, with featherweight Hatsu Hioki (pictured) and light heavyweight Ryan Jimmo marking this run’s most notable firings.

The UFC inked Hioki with much expectations in October 2011. He was supposed to give reigning UFC featherweight king Jose Aldo some competition. Unfortunately for the Japanese export, he never even managed to sniff a bout against Aldo because he couldn’t win more than one straight scrap.

In fact, Hioki is one of the biggest free agent busts in UFC history going just 2-5 in the promotion.
