UFC Champs Conor McGregor, Demetrious Johnson Nominated for 2017 ESPY Awards

UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and flyweight king Demetrious Johnson have both received ESPY Nominations for “Best Fighter” in 2017.

McGregor and Johnson will join boxers Andre Ward, Gennady Golovkin and Terence Crawford in the category. Fans can vote for their favorite nominees at ESPYS.com until July 12, when the awards presentation show takes place in Los Angeles.

McGregor, who in 2016 won “Best Fighter” and “Best Breakthrough Athlete,” was also nominated for “Best International Athlete” this year. The Irishman will compete against boxer Canelo Alvarez, sprinter Usain Bolt, swimmer Katinka Hosszu and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo in that category.
