Jeff Monson's latest fight is a match-up against UFC tournament winner Oleg Taktarov.
In an attempt to level the playing field, a Russian promoter decided to match up two UFC veterans: retired tournament winner Oleg Taktarov and former title challenger Jeff Monson.
The fight, which is scheduled to take place on April 16 in Penza, was confirmed by Tass.ru.
"The fight has all the agreement,"the promoter told Tass, though he explained that the particular rule set has not been finalized.
Monson is coming off a victory against Anton Lutkova in Balakovo.
