Orthopedic surgeon and MMA ringside physician Dr. David Abbasi is back with another instant breakdown of a gnarly injury suffered in the UFC Octagon.
Abbasi’s had a busy 2021 in this respect, with nasty injuries suffered by Chris Weidman, Jacare Souza, Kanako Murata and Jamahal Hill.
This time Abbasi was of course talking about Conor McGregor whose night at UFC 264 was ended with what appeared to be a nasty leg break. It’s hard to point out where the injury occurred with some thinking a break happened off a checked leg kick. The injury happened in the first round, which was largely dominated by Dustin Poirier.
