UFC 262 medical suspensions: Jacare and Burgos out indefinitely

UFC 262 was a little more violent than usual. Especially for Jacare Souza and Shane Burgos. Burgos was hit by a punch from Edson Barboza that resulted in the most delayed fuse of a KO you’ll ever see. For Souza, well, you’ve probably already seen and heard the broken arm.

Following UFC 262, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation’s Combative Sports commission issued a number of medical suspensions (most a mandatory seven-day resting term) that included four indefinite suspensions. In addition to Burgos and Jacare, Matt Schnell and and Antonina Shevchenko also received indefinite bans, meaning they’ll need to show proof of recovery in order to to lift the suspension.
