On Saturday, UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko puts her title on the line for the fourth time when she faces Jennifer Maia in the co-main event of UFC 255.
Shevchenko won the vacant title in late December 2018 when she defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk via decision. Since that win, Shevchenko has successfully defended the title 125-pound title three times.
The champ scored one of the most memorable knockouts of 2019 when she stopped Jessica Eye with a crushing head kick at UFC 238. In her next defense, Shevchenko scored a decision win over Liz Carmouche.
