Zhang Weili and Joanna Jedrzejczyk put on a fight for the ages in their strawweight title fight at UFC 248, and despite nearly 400 strikes landed over five rounds, neither fighter suffered any significant injuries.
On Monday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission released the medical suspensions for the card from this past weekend in Las Vegas where Zhang and Jedrzejczyk engaged in the “Fight of the Night.”
While both fighters definitely wore the damage from the fight on their faces, Zhang and Jedrzejczyk walked away from the battle largely unscathed.
Zhang and Jedrzejczyk have both been issued two-month suspensions through May 7 with no contact allowed until April 22.
