The UFC 247 card is underway and the Fight Pass prelims just concluded with Journey Newson destroying Domingo Pilarte in a speedy 38 seconds. The crushing blow came by way of a blistering right hand that dropped Pilarte. A few academic ground strikes landed before the referee stepped in. This was quite an explosive finish that gets Newson back into the win column.
Before that, Jonathan Martinez and Andre Ewell went the distance in a bout that took place entirely on the feet. Both men landed some solid strikes, but when the dust settled the split decision was awarded to Ewell.
