UFC 243 is underway from Melbourne, Australia and the ESPN2 preliminary matchups have just finished up with Jake Matthews earning lackluster decision over Rostem Akman. Despite a rather boring and uneventful matchup, Matthews is at least back in the win column. Before that, Callan Potter picked up his first UFC win with a gritty unanimous decision over Maki Pitolo. He brawled for a lot of the bout, but leaned on his grappling to secure the final round.
Brad Riddell and Jamie Mullarkey had a rather ordinary start to their fight, but boy did it heat up by the end of it.
