The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) announced on Sunday that both "The Spider" and "Thug Rose", who were defeated by Jared Cannonier and Jessica Andrade on Saturday night in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, were given 180-day medical suspensions.
Laureano Staropoli and Bethe Correia are also potentially out 180 days, CABMMA announced.
Namajunas lost to Andrade via second-round knockout at Jeunesse Arena, the victim of a brutal slam in the second round. The now former strawweight champion can return sooner (60 days, with no contact for 45 days) if cleared by a doctor with an MRI on her neck.
