Karolina Kowalkiewicz looks primed for another run at a UFC strawweight title shot.
The native of Lodz, Poland, who went the distance with former champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and owns a victory over current champ Rose Namajunas, looked sharp at UFC 223 on Saturday night.
Kowalkiewicz took it to a game Felice Herrig in the featured prelim bout at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Kowalkiewicz took two out of three 29-28 scores for a split-decision victory.
The duo threw down in the opening round, with Kowalkiewicz pushing the pace and Herrig answering with counters.
