The former World Series of Fighting (WSOF) strawweight champion will make her Octagon debut against dangerous 115-pound contender Claudia Gadelha at the upcoming UFC 190 pay-per-view (PPV) event, set for Aug. 1, 2015 inside HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Aguilar (19-4) -- widely considered to be the best female mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter not previously signed to UFC -- enters the promotion on the strength of a 10-fight winning streak, one that includes victories over Carla Esparza and Megumi Fujii, among others.
The competition isn't getting any easier.
Gadelha (12-1) rattled off 12 straight wins with eight finishes before dropping a razor-thin split decision to reigning UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
