Ulltimate Fighitng Championship (UFC) had to put out a small injury-related brushfire today as the Jose Aldo vs. Conor McGregor inferno continues to rage behind the scenes (more on that here).
John Hathaway, who was scheduled to fight Gunnar Nelson on the pay-per-view (PPV) main card of UFC 189, which takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 11, 2015, was forced out of the show because of an undisclosed injury.
Brandon Thatch -- who was was originally scheduled to face John Howard in a UFC 189 "Prelims" bout -- has agreed to replace Hathaway and fight Nelson instead on about two weeks notice.
