Gilbert Burns posted on social media that he has signed a contract to face Tyron Woodley on that date. The welterweight bout was later confirmed by ESPN. Burns vs. Woodley was initially targeted for a UFC Fight Night event on May 23, but that card was ultimately scrapped.
