“King of Kung Fu” authored another chapter in his late-career resurgence with the Ultimate Fighting Championship when he felled Kenan Song with a spinning wheel kick in the first round of their UFC Fight Night 248 welterweight showcase on Nov. 23, 2024 at Galaxy Arena in Macau, China. Song melted 3:49 into Round 1.
Salikhov tenderized his adversary’s lower lead leg with repeated kicks and zeroed in on the body with a variety of attacks. Song in turn buckled the Russian’s knees with a sneaky left hook but failed to back it up with anything meaningful and allowed the well-traveled veteran to escape potential peril.
