At Invicta FC 13 back in July 2015, MMA veteran Tonya Evinger took on Irene Aldana for the Invicta FC bantamweight title. Evinger defeated the Mexican fighter to improve her winning streak to seven in a row, while capturing bantamweight gold.
Now, two years later, Evinger will be switching over to the UFC to fight Cris Cyborg for the vacant UFC women’s featherweight title on the main card of UFC 214. The event, which is being headlined by a rematch between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier, will take place on July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
