Tom Aspinall has not even considered fighting Jon Jones at the White House.
Aspinall lost out on more than a year of his prime waiting for Jones. While Aspinall was the interim champ, Jones first insisted on defending his heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic. After beating Miocic in November 2024, Jones kept avoiding Aspinall. However, “Bones” didn’t vacate his title and the UFC remained hopeful that he would fight Aspinall, who was just eager to stay active at that point.
Dana White finally announced Jones’ retirement at a post-fight presser in Baku, Azerbaijan in June without any ceremony.
