Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotion’s first foray into MMA will feature two UFC hall-of-famers in a trilogy that not many outside of that trio actually wanted. 43-year-old Tito Ortiz and 48-year-old Chuck Liddell will both come out of retirement and face off more than 14 years since they first fought.
Ortiz is 0-2 against Liddell, dropping both by TKO, but he will be the younger and more active fighter. Liddell hasn’t competed since being knocked out by Rich Franklin eight years ago, and has not having notched a victory in over a decade.
The company has released the full fight card for the November 18 event.
