The UFC’s schedule for the next month continues to take shape.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed that a women’s strawweight matchup between Tecia Torres and Brianna Van Buren is close to being finalized for June 20.
Torres, 30, will make her 12th UFC appearance following her run on season 20 of The Ultimate Fighter in 2014. “The Tiny Tornado” is hoping to bounce back after dropping four straight unanimous decisions to top-10 opposition—Jessica Andrade, Joanna Ju0119drzejczyk, Weili Zhang and Marina Rodriguez. Torres’ last octagon win came at UFC 218 in December 2018 when she defeated Michelle Waterson.
