Submission Underground returns for its second event of the year with Submission Underground 22. The card is headlined by dominant champion Mason Fowler, who will be defending his SUG Absolute Championship against fast-rising star Andy Varela. At last month’s Submission Underground 21, Fowler defended his title by defeating Richie Martinez via armbar in regulation while Varela defeated Satoshi Ishii via escape time in overtime.
The Submission Underground 22 co-main event features last event’s tag team winners, cousins Ricky Simon and John Simon of Team ATT, defending their SUG Tag Team Championship for the first time against Team SAC.
