While Steve Garcia will make his first Ultimate Fighting Championship headlining appearance on Saturday, he can’t help but admit he was hoping for a more high-profile booking.
“Mean Machine” will lock horns with David Onama in the UFC Vegas 110 main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Garcia is in the midst of a six-bout promotional winning streak that includes five wins via KO or TKO. The Jackson-Wink MMA product is coming off a three-round verdict over featherweight staple Calvin Kattar on July 12.
Onama has plenty of momentum of his own with a four-fight winning streak and victories in six of his last seven Octagon appearances overall.
