Star Returns to Winning Ways, Eyes Title Rematch

Filipino rising star Carlo Bumina-ang detailed the second-round adjustments that led to his TKO victory over previously undefeated Brazilian MMA fighter Marcos Aurelio. The win came at ONE Fight Night 39 this past weekend, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 31-year-old Team Lakay product explained how a straight punch wobbled his opponent. The Filipino veteran expressed pride in becoming the first fighter to break the 21-year-old Aurelio’s perfect professional record.

Carlo Bumina-ang also called for an eventual rematch against newly crowned ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu. The Mongolian, who starred on Netflix’s Physical: Asia, handed him his first promotional defeat in 2024 before capturing the title in December 2025.
