Former Bellator MMA standout Marcin Held made his Octagon debut last night (Sat., Nov. 5, 2016) at UFC Fight Night 98 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico, opposite Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lifer Diego Sanchez. Held, 24, was trying to succeed where fellow Bellator defector Will Brooks failed in the UFC's lightweight division, while Sanchez, 34, was looking to rebound from a knockout loss to Joe Lauzon at UFC 200 this past July.
Like many expected, Held welcomed Sanchez to his leg lock emporium with open arms. The 24-year-old Polish grappler used a significant portion of the second round to tie Sanchez's leg up, threaten to break it off and force the veteran to react instead of initiate.
