Once again, One Championship made a foray into the homeland of muay Thai as One: Warriors of Light went down at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
The MMA portion of the multi-discipline card reached its climax when Japan’s Shoko Sato made his successful One debut against Mark Abelardo of New Zealand. Sato arrived in the Chatri Sityodtong-led promotion riding a two-bout winning streak, while Abelardo hadn’t tasted defeat in his last five bouts. Sato’s vicious striking and superior wrestling ability secured him a TKO victory at the 1:58 mark of the second stanza.
