Shane Burgos didn’t expect to see his name plummet in the featherweight rankings following his loss to Josh Emmett at UFC Vegas 3.
Emmett defeated Burgos by unanimous decision in the co-main event of the card. In a ‘Fight of the Year’ contender, Emmett fought through a torn ACL for three rounds to get the win. Burgos dropped from tenth in the UFC rankings to fifteenth, something he vented about to MMA Fighting.
“Dude, it’s f—kin’ weird,” Burgos said. “I lost and I was pissed enough because I felt like I won, but to have that happen on top of that, that was a slap to my f—kin’ face.
