Secret investigation by Brazilian athletic commission reveals MMA fraud, promises lifetime ban for offending fighters

The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) -- which overseas countless mixed martial arts (MMA) organizations including Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and several local promotions -- is about to blow the whistle.

According to a report from MMA Fighting, the commission has been conducting a private investigation for several months which uncovered a series of frauds executed by an MMA gym and several of its fighters.

The root of the problem seems to be fraudulent medical exams, which were conducted by a certain camp in Brazil that opted to produce fake exams as a way to sidestep the high cost of doing them legally.
