Sean Brady is realizing he might not be big enough for welterweight.
Brady (18-2) was a favorite against Michael Morales in a potential welterweight title eliminator at UFC 322 earlier this month. However, Morales (19-0) dispatched Brady with a barrage in the opening round to earn a “Performance of the Night” bonus. At 5-foot-9, Brady had an evident size disadvantage against the undefeated 6-foot Ecuadorian.
Brady is now contemplating a move down to lightweight, where he believes he will find more evenly-matched opponents. However, Brady is still open to staying put at welterweight depending on the available matchups.
