SBG’s Ciaran Clarke set for pro debut against George Courtney at Bellator Dublin

SBG featherweight Ciaran Clarke will make his professional debut at Bellator Dublin on Sept. 27 when he takes on Northern Ireland’s George Courtney on the event’s preliminary card.

Bellator confirmed the featherweight clash to MMA Fighting on Wednesday.

Clarke (0-0-0) is experienced amateur campaigner and gained a reputation within the gym for his work ethic as a teenager. He is a veteran competitor under the IMMAF banner, which hosts amateur tournaments around the world. After a storied career at amateur as a lightweight, Clarke will move down to featherweight to contest his professional debut.

Courtney (1-0-0) got his professional career off to a flying start with a third-round submission over SBG Charlestown fighter, Ian Clearly, at Bellator 217 back in February.
