Sage Northcutt Cites Tough Weight Cut for Move to Welterweight

Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight prospect Sage Northcutt has decided to return to the welterweight division after stating the weight cut to 155 pounds was proving to be too difficult for the 22 year-old.

Northcutt made his UFC debut in 2015 at lightweight winning his first two bouts in under one minute against Francisco Trevino and Cody Pfister. “Super” then moved to welterweight, losing his first professional bout to Bryan Barberena by submission. His second fight at welterweight didn’t go well either losing to Micky Gall also by submission.
