Rolly Romero Elevated By The WBA

With Jaron “Boots” Ennis officially moving up to 154 pounds and vacating his WBA welterweight title. Rolando “Rolly” Romero is now set to be elevated to full champion status at 147 lbs. It’s a major shift in a welterweight division currently lacking star power and Romero is wasting no time making noise.

Rolly Romero who appears physically stronger and more comfortable at welterweight, is now positioned to inject life into a division that’s stuck in neutral. With Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. moving on and “Boots” gone, the timing couldn’t be better for Romero to seize the spotlight.
