A pair of rising bantamweights will meet at UFC Washington this winter.
Rob Font vs. Ricky Simon has been added to the Dec. 7 card in Washington D.C., the Washington Post reported Tuesday. UFC officials have not yet confirmed the matchup.
Font hasn’t competed since last December, when he defeated Sergio Pettis by unanimous decision at UFC Milwaukee. The 32-year-old was scheduled to face Cody Stamann, then John Lineker, at UFC Greenville in June, but both fighters pulled out due to injuries.
A Massachusetts native, Font hoped to fight on the UFC Boston card earlier this month, but a fight did not come to fruition for that event.
