Dustin Poirier vs. Tony Ferguson may have died in the negotiation stages, but it sounds like the UFC has another match-up between top ranked lightweights set for this fall. MMA Junkie reports that the promotion is looking to book a fight between Carlos Diego Ferreira and Drew Dober for their November 7th Fight Night card in Las Vegas.
Ferreira (17-2) currently sits at #8 in the lightweight division and will enter this bout on a six fight win streak, including recent back-to-back-to-back victories over Rustam Khabilov, Mairbek Taisumov, and Anthony Pettis. His conquering of the former lightweight champion, via second round submission, is pretty clearly the crowning achievement of Ferreira’s career so far.
