Report: Ronda Rousey coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, lost cornerman license for falsifying application

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey hasn't competed in California since her submission win over Cat Zingano in the UFC 184 pay-per-view (PPV) main event, which took place last February in Los Angeles.

Good thing, or she would have been forced to buy her coach a ticket.

That's because Edmond Tarverdyan saw his cornerman license revoked by California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) after allegedly falsifying his application. That constitutes a violation of Rule 201b, according to veteran mixed martial arts (MMA) reporter Greg Savage.

The California State Athletic Commission's agenda for an upcoming meeting on February 2, 2016 has been published and it reveals that they have revoked Tarverdyan's seconds licence and that he is appealing this.
