According to a report from USA Today, the bout has not been formally approved by the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission. GAEC chairman Rick Thompson said that the promoter, Paul’s Most Valulable Promotions (MVP), has withdrawn its request to hold the event in Georgia.
“I believe it's in the public's interest to know that because they've been promoting something they should not have been,’’ Thompson.
Meanwhile, Robert A. Sinners, Communications Director for the Office of the Secretary of State, told USA Today that the fight “will not be happening.
